Ashton is one of the Graduate Assistants for the Campus Events Board. In his position, he specifically advises the Entertainment committee. The purpose of the Entertainment Committee is to provide late-night programming for students and offer fun alternatives for students on campus. The Entertainment Committee puts on events such as Vol Night Long, The Local Concert, Film Series, and Volapalooza.
Ashton is originally from Nashville, TN and attended the University of Tennessee, Martin in Martin, Tennessee. He was very involved during his undergrad years holding positions in National Pan-Hellenic Council, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., Student Government Association, University Council, Orientation Leader, and Multicultural Student Life. Having these life-changing experiences has led him to pursue a career in Student Affairs.
During his free time, Ashton enjoys watching college football, watching Netflix, or reconnecting with friends. Ashton has an open door policy so anytime you’re in the student union please come by and see him.
