MaryKate serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Center for Student Engagement and is a 2nd year in the College Student Personnel Master’s program at UT. In her role as the advisor for the Entertainment Committee of the Campus Events Board, she provides support and guidance for group of over 50 students who are responsible for planning approximately 20 large scale events per year for the campus community. These events range from concerts, comedians, films and 5k races during the week to a variety of late-night programming on the weekends. She also coordinates the annual end of year music and arts festival, Volapalooza. She directly advises the 8-member executive board of the committee and assists in the planning of student retreats and other development opportunities. In her time at UT as a graduate student, she has also served as a Summer Orientation Academic Advisor for over 100 incoming first-year and transfer students in the College of Arts and Sciences and as an instructor for First Year Studies 100.

MaryKate attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington for her undergraduate education where she served as President of the Association for Campus Entertainment, an Alcohol and Drug Peer Educator through the UNCW Health Center, and Peer Mentor.
