The Center for Student Engagement is proud to provide advisement and support for more than 480 student organizations and is excited to introduce our new Student Organization Advisor Online Training Modules! The training modules are available for Student Organization Advisors via Canvas to gain more resources, feel more comfortable and confident advising a student organization, and engage with other Student Organization Advisors.
There are 10 training modules:
- Advisor Essentials
- Group Development
- Mentoring
- VOLink
- Supporting Student Leaders (A), Counseling & Referrals
- Supporting Student Leaders (B), Inclusive Practices
- Hazing
- How to Plan Events and Support Students in Event Planning
- Officer Transition
- Fundraising
- Student Organization Business Office and Funding for Student Organizations
It should take approximately 1 hour to complete the modules. While completing the training, if at any point you need to stop and return to it later, you are able to do so.
