Student Organization Travel Fund
The Student Organization Travel Fund is offered to registered student organizations who have a need to travel to off campus, regional, state, or national organizational events, competitions, etc. to represent the University of Tennessee. The organization’s travel should be within the scope of the organization’s mission and purpose, as well as benefit the university and increase effectiveness of the organization. Guidelines/ Criteria for the Student Organization Travel Fund. Applications should be submitted by at least 6 weeks prior to travel and are reviewed the last week of each month. Examples of travel the SOTF Allocation Committee has funded in the Spring 2019 includes, but is not limited to: Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity to the Principled Leadership Business Institute in Atlanta, GA; Mock Trial to the AMTA Regional Tournament in Louisville, KY; Tennessee Speech and Debate Society to 11th Annual Eddy Shell Invitational in Bossier City, LA; Food Science Club to the Institute of Food Technologists Student Association Midwest Area Meeting in West Lafayette, IN.
