The GO:get inVolved website is made for you, the student.  On it you'll find information on starting student organizations, how to get involved around campus, planning events, and much much more. We've developed this site to make it easier for you and your organization to stay active and involved on campus. If there's something you're looking for and can't find it, feel free to contact us at go@utk.edu.
GO Community System:
Log on to the GO Community System.  This interactive online tool was created to allow you to manage your organization at your convenience. 

  • Online database listing all UT registered student organizations
  • Register new student organizations or reactivate old organizations.
  • Online calendar to advertise events and meetings to all users.
  • Student organization management system allow groups to:
    • Edit organization details to advertise to students.
    • Manage budgets.
    • Create survey and voting polls.
    • Create blogs.
    • Keep a membership roster.
    • Email all members at once.
    • Upload files and pictures.
    • Update information to the Office of the Dean of Students online.

Continuing Registration

It’s time to update your student organization again!  All registered student organizations are required to update their member and advisor information once per school year.  Failure to update this information by September 30, 2011 will mean that your student organization will be deactivated!

New Student Organization Registration

The Advisory Committee on Student Organization will meet twice a semester and once during the summer to review all completed new student organization applications.   Applications must be complete and be submitted two weeks before the committee meeting in order to be considered for review.   In addition, you must meet with the Graduate Assistant for Student Organization before the Application Deadline. The next review period will be during the summer of 2011, the exact date will be announced later.  Please email go@utk.edu to schedule a meeting time. 

 

There will no longer be any meetings with the Graduate Assistant until July 15, 2011.

Spring and Summer applications will no longer be accepted.
Any summer applications that are currently pending in the system will be review, if completed, at the end of July.

Fall semester meetings and applications for new student organization request will begin in August.

Did You Know GO?

The GO Community System can offer many helpful tools for student organizations!  This section will be updated with useful tips to help you manage your student organization!  Log in using the Student Login to the left to start using GO today!

TIP #2:
Did you know you can keep track of all of your members with go?  The GO Community system has a great way for you to keep an active roster of all of your members.  Once a member leaves or graduates, you can keep their information in the former members list.  It’s a great way to keep up with all of your current and former members.

Benefits of the Roster Tool:

  • Roster of all current members
  • Roster of all former members
  • Ability to email all your members from the site
  • Send invites to potential members
  • Receive applications from interested individuals
  • Update directly with the Office of the Dean of Students to avoid deactivation.
